History
Heart Pine Landscapes was founded in 2013 by Leon Myers Jr., bringing together a lifelong passion for plants and a deep understanding of the Lowcountry landscape. Leon began his career in 2005 at Hyams Garden Center, where he gained hands-on experience and discovered his love for horticulture. He later earned an Associate’s Degree in Horticulture, combining real-world knowledge with formal training to better serve his clients.
What started as a residential maintenance business has grown into a full-service landscape company specializing in design, installation, and site work. As our clients’ needs evolved, so did we—shifting our focus toward creating outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and practical.
Today, Heart Pine Landscapes is built on three core values: simplicity, satisfaction, and the right plants for the Lowcountry. We design landscapes using low-maintenance, climate-appropriate plant material so our clients can enjoy their yards with less upkeep—whether they care for them on their own or with a maintenance company.
